Gerda Security PIB®s have been providing information to the Fire and Rescue Services nationwide for over 15 years!
The term ‘SIB’ originated from the name ‘PIB®’.
The PIB®, was developed in 2005 as an initiative with Gerda Security and operational and fire engineering departments of the fire and rescue service. Specifically designed to hold A3 laminated plans as part of the Emergency Response Pack (ERP) and able to be held by firefighters’ wearing gloves and able to move around as needs dictate, the PIB® and with its ERP plans can be used in adverse weather conditions, without the use of electrical power or internet/Wi-Fi.
Fire Safety (England) 2022 Regulations stipulate the need for a secure information box in high risk residential buildings and reference the Fire Industry Association and National Fire Chiefs Council Code of Practice: https://lnkd.in/ejG7AJB7.
Gerda Security Products offer a range of SIBs – Premises Information Box™ (PIB®) Systems, to suit applications with pricing starting from low hundreds to the high security PIB®s, successfully having achieved the demanding security standard required [STS 205 BR2] at the top end of the range.
For over a decade and a half, the Gerda Premises Information Box™ (PIB®) has been an established Emergency Access System and is now nationwide.
